Ps. Brian taught a powerful message here at conference about keeping our heart right in the midst of challenging circumstances we face from time to time. I want to encourage you today that whatever you are facing, don't let it affect the condition of your heart. Prov. 4:23 says to 'keep your heart with all diligence, for out of it flow the issues of life.' Paul sent a letter to the Corinthian church that challenged them and may have upset them, but as he says in 2 Cor. 7:8, 'it's only for a while...' Determine in your heart today that whatever has hurt you, or affected your spirit, it is ONLY FOR A WHILE! God has so much more for your life so keep a clean heart, a pure heart, a loyal heart and you will see the goodness of God flow out of your life!

In the book “Prepared for Greatness” by Ray Bevan , chapter 5 quotes from a book by Bob Gass titled “Starting Over” which talks about The City of Regret.

“I had not really planned to take a trip this year, yet I found myself packing anyway. And off I went, dreading it. I was on another guilt trip.

I booked my reservation on Wish I Had Airlines. I didn’t check my bags – everyone carries their own baggage on this airline – and I had to drag mine for what seemed like miles through Regret City Airport. People from all over the world were there too, limping along under the weight of bags they’d packed themselves.

I caught a cab to Last Resort Hotel, the driver looking back and talking over his shoulder the whole trip. When I got there I found the ballroom where my event would be held: The Annual Pity Party.

As I prepared to settle in for a really long night, I realized that one person alone had the power to send all these people back home and break up the party: Me. All I had to do was return to the present and welcome the new day! Jump on the Train to Mercy City”

Wow, what a story and what a good way to tell it. Ray goes on in the book telling a story about a violinist Niccolo Paganini who lost strings while in the stage playing until he was left with one string but he carried on playing until the end of the song.
Life is 10% about what happens to us, and 90% about how we respond to the other 10%.
What snapped strings in your life are trying to force you off stage and cause you to live with that taunting voice in your head, shouting, “What if?” Has a relationship string napped? A financial string, maybe? A health string, or a dream string?.
If the violinist had taken time out, he would never have experienced the opportunity to stretch his skills, and an audience would have been robbed of the experience.
The Favour of God is sometimes not deliverance from the problem but developement through it. Keep playing, even if it’s on one string.

Paasfees Diens - Delirious!!

Dit was 'n Joy celebration want ons Koning het opgestaan!!Vir Ons!    
En wat 'n celebration en blessing was dit nie. Martin Smith van delirious het sang diens gelei, en dit was letterlik soos Live Delirious Konsert! Die kerk was stampvol, en die hele onderste vlak het nie stoele gehad nie, almal het gestaan. mense is met busse aangery. Ons het Vrydag elkeen 'n "Prayer request" ingevul en by deur ingegee, en Sondag toe is almal aan kruis vasgesteek, Hoe Awesome is dit!!!

Hierdie is Hillsong se Paasfees Projek. Elkeen het die 3 goedjies gekry. 2 Kaartjies met uitnodiging na paasdiens toe agterop.(Voorste kaartjie is so groot soos besigheidskaartjie, agterste een so groot soos poskaart.) Die idde is om iets 'Goeds' vir iemand te doen, en dan vir hulle kaartjie te gee, bv om vir iemand se koffie te betaal, en dan los jy net kaartjie in plaas van hulle rekening.. wel, so iets. Agterop is dan uitnodiging na Paasfees dienste.

En dan is daar die wit sakkie met bordkryt in. Almal is veronderstel om erens die kruis = hartjie

erens te teken, dit af te neem en dan rond te stuur. Baie oulike idee. Ek sal definitief nog fotos hier sit van waar ek nog geteken het. (Graffitti 4 Christ) Onder is nog 3 ander mense se uitbeeldings, Stunning!!

God’s Favour on our lives            

·         His favour is Not seasonal – It’s Always there (like waves of ocean, continues)

              Psalm 30:5 ⁵ For His anger lasts only a moment,but His favor lasts a lifetime;
                                           weeping may stay for the night, but rejoicing comes in the morning.

·         You can grow in His favour  by obedience – your choices and behavior. Actions have consequences, so if you do something and consequences are bad, it’s not because God’s favour is not on you, it’s simply because of your own action.

            

·         Jesus came to bring God’s favour – We can Not earn His favour, we can only receive it through Jesus

            Luke 4:18-21

·         You can live in man’s favour, or you can live in God’s favour

              Prodigal son Luke 15:11 (Verlore seun)

1.      You can have the right mindset

                         Choose Not to go down path that’s going to lead you away from God’s favour. 
                         If people mess up, and they come to you – You do Not have to tell    them over and over what they’ve done! They know
God doesn’t reprimand us first and them love us later..

2.     Humble mind

                          James 4:6 ⁶ But he gives us more grace. That is why Scripture says:
“                                                    God opposes the proud, but shows favor to the humble.”^[a]
                         Humble mind is needing and relying in God
                         Self made person is very hollow person
                         God Hates pride – be humble
                         Pride doesn’t give God’s favour room to move (wow! Hoe waar is dit)
                         I must Decrease so Jesus can Increase in my life!!

3.     Receptive Spirit

                         You have to be willing to receive God’s favour
                         Some people think they don’t deserve it, cause of what they’ve done in past
                         We don’t deserve it, He gives it freely!
Don’t hang around a blessing, just follow the Blessor, cause wherever He is, the blessing will follow!  Love hierdie!!

4.      You can’t judge God’s favour

                          Stop looking at what others have, and focus on every blessing in your own life
                         Be Happy for Other’s favour

Don’t try and analyze other’s blessings, cause blessings will never make sense. No one deserves it, but just celebrate it!  And belief that God’s favour will come onto you too

                         God’s favour is undeserved and comes onto All
                         Lay down your life, and you will find your life.

•  Brake the barrier of low expectations!  Hou op om die minste te verwag, of om tevrede te wees met ‘goed genoeg. Mik hoog! En verwag meer van jouself! Hou op om jou eie grense te stel, breek uit die grense uit,moenie jouself onderskat nie, en moenie dat enige iets of iemand jou oortuig dat jy te hoog mik nie. As jy nie die eerste keer met iets regkom nie, dan probeer jy weer. Ons almal het baie geval toe ons leer loop het, maar nie een van ons het opgehou voor ons nie op ons eie 2 bene kon hardloop nie..      

• Make the dots connect – mens sien of verstaan nie altyd hoe dinge veronderstel is om te wees nie, maar as mens terugkyk kan jy gewoonlik sien hoe dinge inmekaar pas. Hy was onlangs by konvensie in Switserland met al die mees invloedrykste mense in die wereld. Hy is baie suksesvolle, intelligente gesiene man.

Heel aan die einde van die aand, toe vra hulle hom wat is sy raad aan almal wat graag Super suksesvol wil wees. Sy antwoord:

Lees jou Bybel en Bid Elke dag! WOW! Is dit nie amazing nie, dat so suksevolle man, sulke eenvoudige raad kan gee. En raai wat?? ons almal kan lees en bid, so dis moontlik vir ons Almal!
